In-situ urbanization, is a pattern that as the regional economy and society develop to a certain extent, farmers in the original residence rely on the village and small town, to realize non-agricultural employment and urbanization. The characteristics of in-situ urbanization are as follows:the first is the population agglomeration degree is high; the second is to realize the three times industry linkage mode of production, and put the second industry and the third industry first; the third is residents enjoy the public services has reached or approached the level of cities and towns. But according to the existing statistical system of urbanization, the residents of the region belong to the rural areas and farmers. At present, China vigorously promotes urbanization, in-situ urbanization is an important annulus of urbanization, it also is an important part of the construction of new countryside. According to the classification standards on the development stage of Urbanization-Northam curve we know, the development of urbanization should be experienced by the initial stage to the accelerate stage and then advance to the mature stage.In-situ urbanization implementation also experienced the three stages. Because of in-situ urbanization started in the rural area, it has its own particularity, so the main purpose of this paper is to study in-situ urbanization stage propulsion. We hope to be able to provide the corresponding theory and practice of China’s urbanization and in-situ urbanization. This paper takes Northam curve as the starting point, use push-pull theory of Todaro, through the form of case study, research on the development path and direction of China’s In-situ Urbanization. This paper selects three villages as examples. The history factors, natural conditions, population and other factors of these three villages are in roughly the same. But through the index system of urbanization stage we constructed we can see that, they belong to different stages of Urbanization. Fu Wang Cun’s urban development is more mature, Dong Guan Cun is in the stage of rapid development, and Da Liu Cun is relatively backward. They have same starting points, but the results are different. This paper explores the push-pull factors that effect urbanization development, founds that the industrialization greatly promoted the development of urbanization, the government support and other factors are the important factors to promote the development of urbanization. In view of these, this paper puts forward relevant comments and suggestions finally.
