Comparing the in situ urbanization of these two provinces will be helpful to have a better understanding of in situ urbanization in developed regions, as well as the dynamic mechanism of the development of in situ urbanization.This article will do some analysis in quantitative and qualitative ways, comparing the similarities and differences between the dynamic mechanism of Henan and Jiangsu’s Urbanization through the indicates of the central cities, the development of non-agricultural industries, investment in fixed assets, opening up the level of public health services and education investments. We found development of non-agricultural industries is the fundamental force of urbanization; central city for both in situ urbanization has a significant role in promoting greater efforts; the increase of investment in fixed assets may be more significant promote in situ urbanization in Henan, but the impact on the Jiangsu’s county is not significant; opening has a significant role in situ urbanization in Jiangsu Province, but has little effect in Henan; Finally, to improve the health and medical conditions as well as increased investment in education will promote both in situ urbanization. It can be said, in situ urbanization in Henan Province gains more power from inner force, and it relies on the development of second and tertiary industries, as well as high investment-driven in situ urbanization; situ urbanization power in Jiangsu Province is more outgoing and open, the central city as well as the opening are playing more important roles.In the macro background with accelerate development in inland area, some new impetus comes to the in situ urbanization of inland areas, such as labor reflux, coastal industrial gradient transfer, and support of national policy. These factors will bring new development opportunities to the situ urbanization of Henan province as well as inland areas.
