The Growing Stock and Sustainable Utilization of White Bamboo (Bambusa membranacea) and Community Forest Management were studied at Huay Mae Hin Community Forest, locating in the natural Mixed Deciduous Forest with Teak of Mae Nam Ngao Watershed. It was used a Stratified Sampling Method of308hectares in order to find the growing stock in Huay Mae Hin Community Forest. There were questionnaires of126households and there were in-depth interviews with key informants for discovering the bamboo utilization and community forest management of Ban Hua Thung Village. The study showed that the growing stocks consisting of107,492clumps and760,760culms.The majority334,796culms (44.01%) were bamboo at the age over3-year-old class, followed by the class of the age at3years old (163,240culms,21.46%), at the age of2years old (143,528culms,18.87%) and bamboo aged at1year old (119,196culms,15.67%) respectively. The bamboo utilization of Ban Hua Thung Village was43,696culms which were harvested in Huay Mae Hin Community Forest. The bamboo utilization was5.74%of the growing stock. The relationship between the bamboo utilization and the growing stock in the community forest was found significantly correlated. More enrichment planting to restore Mae Nam Ngao Watershed and intensive management of bamboo forests were suggested.Concerning to community forest management, it was found that Ban Hua Thung Village had the strength in community forest organization, effective rules and regulations, forest activities and people’s participation. The opportunities were supported from external organization and joint network. However, there were also the weaknesses in the community forest management plan, the limited opportunities of people’s participation in decision-marking, the lack of youth participation and the violation of people in the community. The violation of people outside of the community was also the threat of community forest management. Therefore, the preceding community forest management of Ban Hua Thung Village in Huay Mae Hin Community Forest is needed to review for sustainable forest management by the strength of community forest organization, effective rules and regulations, promotion of forest activities and empowering people’s participation to manage their local forest resources with collaboration from the other organizations.
