Study On The Rural Old-age Securitymechanism Based On The Perspective Of Urbanization

Abstract：China is both an agricultural country and a populous country. With theacceleration of population aging and urbanization，" how can we care for the elderlytomorrow " has become a highly concerned topic in today’s society. Especially in therural area,"left-behind elderly" or "empty nesters" are growing, to solve the problem ofthe rural elderly endowment as soon as possible is imminent.This paper is based on the classical writers of marxism social security theory，usingliterature study and comparative analysis to research on the evolution, the current modeand the problems existed in the the rural old-age security mechanism and “Land forsecurity”. The main viewpoints and conclusions are: the first, in China,rural old-agesecurity mainly include family pension,collective pension and social pensionmode.However, these patterns exist certain problems and defects respectively, and can’tsolve the rural elderly pension problem fundamentally.The second，to some extent，thethought and method of "Land for security " can solve the rural elderly pension problemof the population in the process of urbanization.The main problem of the rural old-age security is "where is the money comefrom?" and "who will raise the old-age?". As family pension,social pension andcollective pension are unable to solve the two problems effectively at the same time, anew kind of old-age security mechanism must be established. The innovation of thisarticle is to put forward the solution of "land for social security ",it can solve both thesetwo problems of rural old-age security of the elderly to a certain extent.Establish and improve China’s rural social old-age security mechanism is of greatsignificance to solve the problem of rural elderly endowment, it can also plays apositive role to ease the population aging problem. We should actively explore toconstruct the rural old-age security mechanism to realize the goal of our social for thousands of years.
