Strategies Of The Corn Industry In Heilongjiang Province

Corn production is paid great attention by countries all around the world for the reason that corn has the specialty of wide adaptability, high photosynthetic efficiency and great yield potential. With the corn’s planting expanding unceasingly, its planting area has accounted for the third among cereal crops. Our country is the world’s important maize producer and Heilongjiang province is China’s important production base of corn, whose development of corn industry dominates the economy of Heilongjiang province and also affects the security of supply and demand of grain of our country. Heilongjiang province is in the gold belt of corn production in our country, who has always been one of the major corn producing areas in China with its planting area is relatively stable. Corn industry is the dominant industry in Heilongjiang province agricultural production and its production is second only to the output of Jilin province in the country, which ranks first in our country and put out more than4million tons of corn into the market. Meanwhile, in main food crops in Heilongjiang province (corn, wheat, soybeans, rice), the planting area of corn is the largest one, so it is very suitable for the standardized operation and the dissemination and promotion of agricultural mechanization. Therefore it is very imperative to study the development of corn industry in Heilongjiang province.In this paper, based on the theory of comparative advantage, the theory of industry competition and the theory of agricultural industrialization, adopts methods of comprehensive comparative advantage, combining empirical analysis, normative analysis and other methods and in the background of current situation of maize production, consumption and processing industry in Heilongjiang province, the problems existing in the development of maize industry are analyzed scientifically. At the same time, analyze the main factors that affect the development of corn industry. In view of the micro level, the influence of technology progress and mechanization of corn industry development are explored. In perspective of the macroscopic factors, the influence of the agricultural structure adjustment, the corn industry policy, agricultural economic organization and other factors on the corn industry are all analyzed.The analysis show that, small production scale, poor overall efficiency, low yield, quality that does not meet the market demand and low level of deep processing of transformation are the main problems existing in the development of maize industry in Heilongjiang province. Stimulating the farmers’ willingness to adopt new technology, to increasing the number of agricultural extension workers and improving the quality of the agricultural extension personnel optimized for corn quality have played a positive role. Corn harvest mechanization can improve the comprehensive production capacity of corn, which promotes corn machinist job and corn activities. Finally, through the problems existing in the development of maize industry in Heilongjiang province and the analysis of the factors affecting the development of corn industry, policies and suggestions on the development of maize industry in Heilongjiang province economy should been put forwards.
