People have reached a consensus that fishery cooperatives is of major significance to improve the degree of systematism, to promote the regional distribution in fishery industry, to produce specialized, to scale up the manufacturing process, to reduce costs and increase the income of the fishermen. To promote the development of fishery cooperatives, people through a variety of ways and means so that the modern fishery construction has a rapid development.However, now the development of the fishery professional cooperatives in China is still in its infancy and there some problems. It did not realize it’s benefits and the benefits to fisherman are generally low. Therefore, a systematic research on Operation of fishery cooperatives to find the insufficient and explore the corresponding solution has an important theoretical and practical significance to promote the fishermen’s income, so that the development of fishery industry are more efficient, healthy and sustainable.In this paper, to analysis the operation of the fishery cooperatives, the fishery professional cooperatives in Nanxian county in Hunan province as the object of study, adopting the methods of combination of literature retrieval and on-the-spot investigation, questionnaire investigation, the combination of the macro analysis and microscopic analysis, the case study. Firstly, to clarify the characteristics, the development motivation and function of fishery cooperatives. Then, taking a systematic research on the operation that affecting the development of the fishery cooperatives (includes fund conditions, organization and management situation, service operating conditions, distribution of benefits status, supervision and restraint status), according to the research the information obtained.
