Agricultural mechanization is an important part of the modernization of agriculture, with the advancement in technology and the rapid development of the economy, our country agricultural machinery holdings has increased significantly, there are not only many different kinds of agricultural machinery, performance and parameters of various machines have large differences. With the agricultural machinery model numbers and quantities continued to mount up, how to establish machinery depreciation system accurately and comprehensively, choose a scientific and rational depreciation method, calculate machine depreciation charge scientifically and reasonably have great significance on improving the management of agricultural machinery and maintaining agricultural machinery optimal economic life and economic benefits, to better promote the renewal of equipment, thus enhancing the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises. But the traditional experience has still been widely used in machinery and equipment depreciation in our country which is short of scientific and normative, equipment depreciation mainly take into account tangible wear while ignoring the time value of money and intangible wear due to scientific and technological progress, and so on.This paper studies the domestic and foreign existing theories and methods of depreciation, analyzes our country status of agricultural machinery depreciation. With taking full account of the time value of money, depreciation methods have been analyze and classify, a better classification system of depreciation was put forward, and the existing methods shortcomings have been improved.On this basis, through analyzing models of agricultural machinery depreciation, this paper chose Visual Basic6.0as the development language and SQL Server2000database as a background database, designed and developed the agricultural machinery depreciation decision support system, realized several big main functions, such as agricultural machinery information search, agricultural machinery depreciation decision support, the daily management of agricultural machinery, providing a scientific decision-making reference for the management of agricultural machinery makers.
