| Citrus is an important fruit varieties in Guangxi, occupying an important position in the fruit industry. In recent years, with the planting structure adjusting and optimizing, citrus production in Guangxi with its strong momentum of development becomes the leading industry for helping the vast rural areas get rid of the poverty and becoming wealthy. The14cities of all Guangxi region have grown citrus, citrus industry is currently the industry with the best scale basis, the greatest developing potential and the strongest advantage of export competitiveness in fruit production of Guangxi. Especially in the new situation of China joining in WTO and having built China-ASEAN Free Area of Economic Trade, making the development of citrus industry in Guangxi coexists opportunities and challenges.Based on the understanding of current situation of domestic and foreign on the basis of the citrus industry, the use of comparative advantage theory, theory of competitive advantage and other research methods, the status of the citrus industry in Guangxi be investigated. Through analysis, that the current development of the citrus industry in Guangxi region has the advantage of natural resources, human, technological, social and other aspects, while there is a low level of thoroughbred breeding nursery, orchard disadvantages such as weak infrastructure and other issues, according to local conditions, proposed to increase the competitiveness of the citrus industry in Guangxi countermeasures and suggestions:(1) supporting the development of the citrus industry by government.(2) playing all kinds of factors of production and cultivation.(3) strengthening the citrus industry chain and promoting industrial level of organization.(4) accelerating the pace of development of the citrus processing industry. Research results to enhance the competitiveness of the citrus industry in Guangxi provides a theoretical basis, to provide a reference for the development of the citrus industry in Guangxi. |
