Yichang is one of the home of citrus,also the advantageous belts directed by Ministry of Agriculture,it ranks first in Hubei Province in both acreage and production. However,with competition level of traditional Chinese citrus industry upgrading,the competiton of Yichang is gliding year after year,,indicating its development prospect is very severe. So how to find out the proper and effective measure to the question has already become the problem urgently to be solved. So this thesis aims at synthetical method to analyze competitiveness of Yichang, in the hope of drawing a more objective and presuasive conclution,putting forward the suggestion for the begin development of citrus industry.This research is based on the theory of Comparative advantage and Competitive advantages,applies economics,agricultural economics,industry economics and citrus principles,and it manages to analysis of these factors affect the competitiveness of citrus industry by means of combination of macro-analysis with micro-analysis, combination of positve and normative research,and combination of quantitative analysis with qualitativw analysis,as well as applying econometric model,comparative analysis method. The article is composed of 5 parts.At first,it's the preface,the purpose and significance of the research are clarfied, and the basic ideas,mothods and structure of the dissertation are introduced. The second part is basic theory and research review on industrial competitiveness,and introduces the evluat method. The third part introduces the basic,present and practical situation in China and Yichang. The fourth part analyzes and calculates citrus industry competitiveness in Yichang, interms of the market-possessing rates,the resource endowment coefficient,and analyzes some factors that affects Yichang citrus industry competitiveness. After adopted qualitative analysis to appraise basic competitiveness and environmental competitiveness at first,this part chose quantitative key indexse that can reflect synthetical competitiveness of citrus industry,brought them into the index system of evaluation,and adopted fraction analysis to compare the competitiveness of 4 typical citrus product area. The last part is the suggestion parts. On the basic of the first four parts,put forward the countermeasure and suggestion of promoting competitiveness of traditional citrus industry of Yichang.
