Study Of Guangxi Beibu Gulf Free Trade Zone

Generated with the with the development of international trade, FTZ (Free Trade Zone) plays an important role in breaking trade barriers, promoting mobility of capital and technologies as a driving force for regional economic clusters and economic globalization. Located in the southwest region of China, Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone has a good geographical condition, convenient transportation, and excellent harbor. With the further development of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, Guangxi has been demonstrated more and more important. In2013, Premier Li Keqiang put forward the construction of a new strategic pivot of southwest and middle-south China. In this context, the establishment of Guangxi Beibu Gulf Free Trade Zone has important significance in the reform and opening up strategy throughout the southwest and middle-south China.Using a combination of theoretical and empirical, comparative analysis methods, this paper summarize some experience of the status and trends of the FTZs, including "trade facilitation","principle of free trade", etc. And analyzes the necessity of the establishment of the Guangxi Beibu Gulf Free Trade Zone from Guangxi’s own development needs and national strategic. Taking into consideration of the location, transportation infrastructure, with other resources, and some constraint factors, this paper suggests the target orientation, model, process, and recommended some corresponding practices in the areas of management, regulation, finance, and logistics of the development of the FTZ.
