Research On International Competitiveness Of Chinese Born Globals

With trade liberalization and economic globalization, national markets are increasingly homogeneous. And international specialization spawned niche markets. In addition to, communication and logistics technology’s improving, leads to the rapid development of e-commerce. All of the above contribute to the phenomenon of born global. There are also many born globals in China after China’s opening up and foreign trade system reform. The Chinese born globals mostly belong to labor-intensive industries, relying on cost advantage, with a small scale, serving the mass market. But since the beginning of their creation, they deploy resources and compete in global markets, showing a great vitality and potential.This paper research the international competitiveness of Chinese born globals, using both case studies and theoretical analysis. In the first place, this paper elaborates the emergence and development of Chinese born globals, and then summarizes their situation, characteristics and problems. Secondly, this paper built a theoretical framework contained six elements, basing on the theory of comparative advantage and competitive advantage. Then it evaluated born globals’international competitiveness by using the framework. Hereafter, this paper did some analysis against five representative cases, and specified reference. Finally, it summarized the research of foregoing, provided recommendations for improving Chinese born globals’international competitiveness.
