The Study On The Poverty Alleviation Of Enterpirse In Wuling Mountain Area Based On The BOP Strategy Theory

Wuling Mountain Area is one of14state-level contiguous poverty-stricken areas.although after years of poverty alleviation, the government has made greatachievements, but still faces great difficulties. Enterprise is the most active factor topromote the development of socio-economic. The economic development in WulingMountain Area is inseparable from the contribution of a number of enterprises full ofinnovative activity. The practice of poverty alleviation over the years has proved thatpoverty alleviation of enterprise does play an important role in helping a large numberof low-income groups to ease or even out of poverty in Wuling Mountain Area.However, the current theoretical research of enterprise poverty reduction issignificantly behind the actual needs of poverty alleviation, and especially in theregard of addressing the development issues of low-income groups through enterprisebusiness innovation there is also little research. Therefore, how to adopt a scientificapproach to further improve the effectiveness of enterprise poverty reduction needs tobe further explored.Appearance of. BOP (Bottom of the Pyramid) strategy offeredpowerful theoretical support for enterprises to achieve win-win situation withlow-income groups to provide economic and social benefits.This paper based on the BOP strategy theory, search on the way how enterpriseachieve sustainable development with low-income groups and achieve povertyreduction in backward areas, through commercial enterprise and innovation. On thebasis of relevant theories, the paper conduct investigations of socio-economiccharacteristics of low-income groups in Wuling Mountain Area and through means ofrelated statistical analysis, factor analysis and so on, and study from the micro-level ofthe poverty status of Wuling Mountain Area. On this basis Wuling mountain Areapoverty alleviation model is reflected, enterprise poverty alleviation is proposed. Thenbinding the poverty status of low-income groups in the Wuling mountain Area, thepaper preliminary study the feasibility of enterprise poverty alleviation andimplementation of BOP strategies in three different modes: product development typeof BOP strategy, resource development type of BOP strategies and social embeddedtype of BOP strategies. Finally, some suggestions are proposed to provide a referencefor the practices of businesses poverty reduction in this area.
