Economic Diversity And Its Poverty Alleviation Effect On County Level In Hunan Wuling Mountainou Area

In recent years,the problems of economic development in poor areas has been the focus of social concern,Hunan Wuling mountain area is in the Wuling mountain area belongs to Hunan Province,according to the goals of "Wuling Mountain Area Regional Development and Poverty Alleviation Planning(2011-2020)" and " Outline of China Rural Poverty Alleviation(2011-2020)",poverty reduction and poverty alleviation in this region is significant for the Wuling Mountain Area and Hunan Province to achieve full poverty eradication in 2020.Domestic and foreign literature shows that economic diversity is conducive to economic growth,economic stability and poverty alleviation.Currently,Hunan Wuling Mountain Area poverty and the phenomenon of poverty is more severe,in order to improve the poverty status of concentrated contiguous poor areas in Hunan Wuling Mountain,and further improve the efficiency of poverty alleviation,this paper uses the entropy method,the standard deviation,the coefficient of variation,the exploratory spatial data analysis method and the spatial econometric regression analysis method to carry on the economic multiplicity research and the diversity reducing poverty demonstration analysis to the section data of 37 counties in Wuling Mountain Area of Hunan Province in 2000-2014.The main results showed that:(1)The types of industrial diversity in hunan wuling mountain area has "descending" trends,and the types of income diversity "rising after descending first" trend,The disparity of industrial(income)diversity in urban areas in different counties is gradually narrowing.(2)Generally speaking,the economic diversification degree of Zhangjiajie area is the highest,followed by Loushao area,and Huaihua area is lowest,the poverty reduction of income diversity is greater than that of industrial diversity,Zhangjiajie area has the the best poverty reduction effect of economic diversification,followed by Loushao area,and Huaihua area is the worst?2000-2014 years,from the perspective of the poverty reduction efficiency of economic diversity,industrial diversity and income diversity are beneficial to poverty reduction,but the effect of industrial diversity reducing poverty is "rising" with time,and the effect of income diversity reducing poverty is "first rising and then descending" trend.(3)Farmers' per capita net income showed a strong inverted "U" trend with the increase of industry(income)diversity,which indicated the industrial(income)diversity of 37 counties and cities in Hunan Wuling mountain area is conducive to poverty reduction.However,with the increase of economic diversity,the marginal effect of poverty reduction tends to decrease,when diversification reaches a certain level,continued economic diversification is detrimental to poverty reduction,so a moderate economic diversification development is the correct choice of Hunan Wuling mountain area.
