Optimizing The Evaluation Index System Of A Venture Capital Company’s Venture Projects

Abstract:For venture capital companies, the assessment of venture capital project have significant impact on decision-making and result in venture capital investment activities. Therefore, it is very important to have a set of scientific and operability of venture capital project evaluation index system.As the carrier to A Venture Capital Company, the article based on introducing the theory of venture capital, analyzed the current venture capital project evaluation index system and completed to its deficiency of A Venture Capital Company.Then, it analyzed the industrial and stage character of venture capital project standing in the position on venture capital firm, constructed a set of industry-based and stage-based venture capital project evaluation index system combining with Life Cycle theory and Risk Appetite theory.This paper optimized the venture capital project Evaluation Index System of A Venture Capital Company.Then, this optimized system was applied to two venture capital projects of this company to reflect its applicability and operability through the detection and comparative analysis between current system and optimized system. Finally, it analyzed barriers to implementation and proposed a series of safeguards of the venture capital project evaluation index system.It is the hope that this paper can bring the useful referee and tips to A Venture Capital Company and other VC institutes on the venture capital project decision.
