| Abstract:Shanxi Coking Coal Group Co., Ltd. is a large state-owned coal enterprise groups which dealing with coal mining, processing, washing and selecting as its core business, as well as coal chemical industry, electricity, trade, logistics. It has significant and far-reaching influence on its future business development for Shanxi Coking Coal Group to have a comprehensive analysis of its business development, competitive environment and its own resources and capabilities, and to make its long time development strategy.In this paper, we use the theory of strategic management, competitive strategy theory as a guide. Begin with the development status and problems of Shanxi Coking Coal Group, we have studied its macro and micro environment, competition in the industry, as well as its resources and perspectives. We use PEST model, five forces model, the matrix of internal-external factors, etc. as our methods and tools to analysis Shanxi Coking Coal Group’s strategic environment in which to develop a comprehensive analysis and proposed adaptation strategies. The strategy and recommendations have certain influence on the future development of Shanxi Coking Coal Group. The thesis has done some innovation work on Shanxi Coking Coal Group’s environmental analysis and its strategy making. |
