The Functions Of Local Governments In The Development Of Exhibition Industry

Exhibition industry is getting more and more attention by many countries andregions in recent years, because it’s high-yield and high-profit characteristics. During thedevelopment of exhibition industry, local government plays an essential role. In order toensure the healthy and orderly development of Tianjin exhibition industry, localgovernment should offer enough support and direction; reform approval system; improveregulations; speed up the construction of a functional association; promote the trainingprograms for talents, etc. Thus, creating a great macro social environment could acceleratethe development of Tianjin exhibition industry in a steady and safety way.This thesis consists five parts. The introduction part introduces the background andpurpose, also including the research methods been used in this project, and pointed out theinnovation and inadequacies of this research; the second part is related knowledge andtheories about the government functions in exhibition industry; in the third part, weanalyzed the major administrate problems of Tianjin exhibition industry; in the fourth part,learning the advanced experience and development model by Hannover and Singapore CityHall to improve and correct the imperfect part of Tianjin exhibition industry; in the fifthpart, we discussed the role of Tianjin local government in present, and what it should playin the coming development of Tianjin exhibition industry.
