Research On Government Functions In The Development Of Yunnan Convention And Exhibition Industry

Chinses MICE industry started late.It began to rise in the early 90 s of last century,but the pace of development has attracted worldwide attention.After 20 years of rapid development,Chinese MICE industry industrial scale sustained grew,construction of venues acrossed domain development,influence of brand exhibitions continuous promoted,industry chain developed,the economic benefit is growing.At present,whether the scale and the amount of Chinese exhibition,or the level of management and the influence of the exhibition,China is among the highest.And the industrial structure has also been optimized.Kunming International Agricultural Expo(hereinafter referred to as the Agricultural Fair),which is one of the three large-scale Exhibition hosted by the Yunnan provincial government,held for the first time since 2005,has held 12 sessions recently.In 12 years,whether the scale and the economic benefits or the visibility inside or outside and community participation of the exhibition had developed rapidly.The Agricultural Fair aims to make full use of the regional advantage of Yunnan Province that adjacent to Southeast Asia and South Asia,and the radiation of provincial capital,and the contributing of exhibition platform to develop the agricultural economy and to product and sell agricultural products in Yunnan Province.The Agricultural Fair commit to show the development of the characteristic plateau and urban agriculture in Yunnan,to build an effective platform for agricultural exchange and cooperation inside and outside Yunnan Province,to advertise and improve the outward image of Yunnan's agricultural,to market and promote high quality,green,eco agricultural products which produced in Yunnan,to create and expand the Yunnan's agricultural product market,to promote and deepen the opening-up of Yunnan's agriculture,and to lay the foundation to make Kunming a regional and international central city that services the whole province,radiates the whole country,and orient for South and Southeast Asia.Given the current situation and its important role of the Agriculture Fair,studying on the functions of the government to develop MICE industry and how Yunnan provincial government exercises its functions to develop the Agricultural Fair,the MICE industry and regional economies in Yunnan is very meaningful.This paper studies the function of government in the development of MICE industry,summaries the functions of the government to develop MICE industry.And taking the Agricultural Fair as an example,the research studies the situation that how the functions above-mentioned exercised in the development of the exhibition,and find out the bright points and shortage of works of Yunnan provincial government.I hope,this study will play a certain reference role for the development of the Agricultural Fair.How to make the Agricultural Fair bigger and stronger,it takes the government of Yunnan province and Kunming city to think incessantly,and to work together with agriculture and MICE workers.This paper mainly consists of five parts.Introduction,which is the first part,introduces the background and significance of this paper,and summarizes the relevant research at home and abroad,as well as the content and methods of research.The second part introduces the related concepts and related theories,and analyzes the correlation between the development of MICE industry and the government functions.The third part analyzes the situation that how the functions exercised in the development of the Agricultural Fair.The fourth part analyzes the performance and causes of the shortage that government exercised functions in the development of the Agricultural Fair.The fifth part,combining with the actual situation in Yunnan Province,discusses the way of perfecting the function of government in the Agricultural Fair,in order to promote the healthy development of the exhibition.This paper is to explore and innovate the development direction of Chinese exhibition economy.It has a certain guiding value and reference value to the author's work,as well as the unit.
