The development of regional rural economy, is not only an important foundationfor the building of a new socialist countryside, but also a key factor to reverse the gapbetween industry and agriculture, urban and rural, and regional disparity. Toaccomplish this great historical task, the key and difficult point is how to raise theincome level of the farmer. Agricultural land use is the complex of the natural ecologyand social economic, it is also a material guarantee for regional agriculturaldevelopment and connected with the income of the peasants. Under the situation ofeconomic development, population growth and cultivated land decrease, researchingthe dynamic relationship between agricultural land intensive use and farmer’s incomehas important significance to improve the utilization efficiency of farmland area, speed up the transformation of intensive use of land, promote rural prosperity andfood security. This article on the basis of interpreting the connotation of agriculturalland intensive utilization, discusses the action mechanism of farmer income effect ofthe intensive use of agricultural land. Combined with the actual situation of HenanProvince, constructs the evaluation index system of intensive use of agricultural landin Henan province. Construction of genetic algorithm-BP neural network evaluationmodel, calculates the levels of agricultural land intensive utilization. On this basis, useco-integration analysis, error-correct model, granger causality test, impulse-responsefunction and variance decomposition, we analysised the dynamic relationship betweenagricultural land intensive utilization and income growth of rural residents and getconclusions as follows:(1) By constructing the evaluation index system of intensive use of agriculturalland, using genetic algorithm-BP neural network model to measure thecomprehensive index of intensive use of agricultural land in Henan Province, during the period of1978-1998, the intensive use of agricultural land in Henan province levelis generally low, belongs to the intensive use of agricultural land form period; Duringthe period of1999-2012, the level of intensive use of agricultural land improvedquickly, belonging to a period of rapid development of intensive use of agriculturalland.(2) There exists co-integration relationship and Error correction mechanismbetween agricultural land intensive utilization and income growth of rural residents inHenan Province. when the agricultural land intensive utilization levels increase of1Units,0.4075Units of income growth of rural residents increase. Granger causalitytest can notice that the agricultural land intensive utilization and income growth ofrural residents have Granger causal relationship to each other, and the intensive use ofagricultural land has a certain lag effect on Farmers’ income.(3) The intensive use of agricultural land to farmers’ income has a negativeresponse in the early stage, but in the long run, the intensive use of agricultural landhas a strong positive effect on Farmers’ income; the income of the farmers have astimulating effect on the stability of the intensive use of agricultural land, but theeffect is relatively weak. Agricultural land use intensity to the income of the farmerschange explanation ability is gradually enhanced, the intensive degree ofimprovement and utilization of agricultural land plays an important role in increasingthe income of farmers.
