According to the survey, there are about260million migrant workers in China in2012, which has the serious influence to China with the large group, and their employment has become a concerns. Especially with their different life environment and different growth condition, they received the different education and access to social resources. Since30years of reform and opening up, there has found some differentiation about "going out" of migrant workers. New generation migrant workers compared with the first generation of migrant workers have some changes especially in the connection and employment.According to the research of scholars both at home and abroad, in the process of employment, social capital plays as a big role, they puts forward the hypothesis that some of the more famous, such as Ellen Granovetter’s "weak ties hypothesis" and "strong relationship" by BianYanjie. These assumptions now allow us to further its influence on peasant workers’ employment with the data, especially the impact on the quality of their employment. But with the development of the market economy and the improvement of the labor market, our concern is that whether the influence of the first generation of migrant workers with social capital on the quality of the new generation of migrant workers. This research adopts the RUC (Renmin University of China) and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology of China general social survey in2008(CGSS2008), locating method were studied. Mainly by investigating the rural migrant workers "relatives and close friends in New Year Spring Festival net" occupational prestige points, and others’ work unit type score, to measure the difference between the first generation and new generation of migrant workers social capital. We found that the new generation migrant workers compared with the first generation of migrant workers, the more enjoyed the New Year Spring Festival, except for a few larger groups, the less proportion of other professional types of people with the small difference. This suggests that social capital structure of the new generation of migrant workers is not reasonable.Influence of social capital on the two generations of migrant workers who want full-time job is inconsistent. Relatives of the first generation of migrant workers have negative influence, but close friends have a positive impact. For the new generation migrant workers, relatives and close friends have a negative effect on a full-time job, but the others have a positive impact. Through the regression results of social capital effect on wage income, we can see that the relatives of the first generation of migrant workers have a positive impact on their income, but it is not significant statistically. And close friend and others have a negative effect on their income. From the job satisfaction of relatives and close friends to migrant workers, relatives and close friends of the first generation of migrant workers job satisfaction has a negative impact, but the others have a positive impact. For the new generation of migrant workers, relatives and close friends have a positive impact on their job satisfaction, while others have a negative impact. From these influences of social capital we can see that, the original social capital impact rural migrant workers on the quality of their employment is more of a negative impact, without too much positive. Under the wave of economization, they rely on the existing social capital which is not conducive to the improvement of the quality of their work, and is unfavorable to the migrant workers to improve the overall quality and the country’s industrial upgrading. Therefore, they need through a certain way and method to change this kind of low quality of negative impact brought by the social capital.
