A Study Of Supply Chian Risk Management Based On The Example Of M Apparel Company

Among the trend of globalization and informatization as well as the expansion of supply chain network itself, the supply chains are facing challenges, uncertainty and risks. It is the reason why there have been so much focus on the supply chain risk management.Especially recent years there are many international and domestic apparel brands had been in the troubles of heavey inventory and slow growth which brought risks to them. Taking the specimen of M Apparel company, this study is researching its status, problems and potential risks of its operations, forming the analysising system and mechanism for evaluating the impacts, severity and probabability of these elements, proposing the measures and actions to avoid the problems or mitigate the risks, and guiding this organization to set up a robust supply chain newtwork with strong risk management capability.Through the experts surveys and associated AHP theory, the main risks are sorted out through data analysis, and then demonstrated via omprehensive risks matrix together with quadrant. In accordance, the measures are proposed with a hope to help the prevention or resolution to the risks. The perspective of the benefits is estimated as well the same time.We hope the suggested risk management frame work in this study can be a good referce to promote the ability to control and manage supply chain risks for M company as well as for this industry.
