ABSTRACT Henan Province as a major agricultural and populous province,man-land relationship has been strained. Under the premise of guaranteed farmland,the process of industrialization and urbanization have been limited. Theurbanization level of Henan province has been lower than other provinces andcities. Traditional urban development are extensive growth, urban land use efficiencyis low which is not suitable for the situation of Henan province. And the traditionalurban development is also gradually exposed the various urban disease. At the sametime, other provinces have also begun to change the traditional way ofurbanization.The transition in the traditional urbanization to new urbanizationopportunity to explore new urbanization patterns in Henan Province for their owndevelopment is particularly important.
