Recent years, the government spends lots of manpower, material resources andfinancial resources on infrastructure. However, with the development of engineeringscale, the complexity of the project itself increases gradually, and more uncertain factorsand risk events appear. Along with the unceasing change of political, economic, engineering risk management research in construction project is becoming increasinglyimportant. Some scholars began to introduce and absorb foreign engineering project riskmanagement research and experience, and study risk management theory to the situationof our country. However, the current engineering project risk management theory has acertain limitations, such as it is difficult to deal with the engineering project riskevaluation (EPRE) under intuitionistic fuzzy environment.Firstly, this paper expounds the research background and research status ofconstruction project. Secondly, based on the characteristics (complexity, long cycle, etc.)of construction engineering in China, the construction of the project risk is studied, theconstruction of the existing EPRE system is perfected. Thirdly, in order to handle theEPRE problems under intuitionistic fuzzy environment, an intuitionistic fuzzy analytichierarchy process is developed, and a new method of construction EPRE calledimprovement of intuitionistic fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) is proposed. Inthe end, an improved intuitionistic fuzzy TOPSIS method for the construction of theEPRE model is built based on the improvement of intuitionistic FAHP and TOPSISmethod, thus the EPRE becomes more effectively and intuitive.
