Since the reform and opening, living standards of urban and rural residents improvecontinuously with the stable national economy and continued growth. In this context, thecatering industry has become one of the fastest growing and highest growing industry inthe China’s domestic consumer demand. The catering industry not only obtains increasingin the speed and quality in the overall size of the market and industry, but also the foodconsumption has quietly become an important driving force to upgrade the nationalconsumer’s demand. However, as an important constituent of catering industry, it affectspeople’s daily lives increasingly, and it has become an important industrial aboutlivelihood. Catering industry’s sustained, healthy, fast and good development is animportant issue to build a harmonious society. Therefore, it is imperative to expand thestudy of multi-angle chain restaurant industry competitiveness.Thesis consist five chapters, including the following:Chapter1is Introduction. This chapter start with the characteristics of food andbeverage industry, and elicit the problem in this study-the competitiveness in the chainrestaurants to explore the background, purpose and meaning of the chain restaurantindustry in our country. And then to explains the research models and approaches of thearticle. At the end of give a comprehensive description about documents relatedapplications with respect to food industry competitiveness.Chapter2introduces some theories, contains industrial competitiveness andmeasurement methods of restaurant chain competitiveness.Chapter3is to understand the formation mechanism of chain restaurant industry andbuilds evaluation system of chain restaurant industry competitiveness. According to thecharacteristics of chain restaurants, select the restaurant chain’s research index and buildcatering industry competitiveness evaluation system based on the foundation of the theoryof economics and management of competitiveness study.Chapter4is the empirical analysis of the chain restaurant industry competitiveness.This part is based on the previous chapters, use has been constructed out of competitiveness evaluation index system of choice, using SPSS to conduct factor analysisaccording to the competitiveness evaluation index system of choice that has beenconstructed out. Next sort the competitiveness of China’s29provinces’ catering industry,and analyze the actual situation and problems in the competitiveness of the chainrestaurant industry.Chapter5, put forward the countermeasure and suggestions to enhance thecompetitiveness, combined with present situation and problems of chain restaurantindustry about competitiveness.
