The increasingly intense global competition for new product development project schedulingis especially important for effective control, has always been one of the important factors ofthe success of the enterprise, it is the key to core competitiveness index.New product development project progress control can effectively guarantee the even shortenproject development cycle, to speed up the enterprise capital operation, save developmentcosts, and get market opportunities.In this paper, through a large number of literature reading, first of all, take a simple overviewfor the related theory of modern project management and new product development,elaborated the characteristics of new product development project management; Secondly,this paper discusses how to apply with schedule management theory on the new product iBLUdevelopment projects in A company. Use CPM Critical Path Method for project scheduleplanning. In the schedule optimizing, introducing CCPM Critical Chain Project Management,analyzes the project in all kinds of resource constraints, introducing the buffer mechanism,reorganized the project schedule planning. The optimized project schedule planning is morescientific and reliable than previous in the whole project management, has a guidingsignificance.Finally according to the actual operation situation in iBLU project, put forward the use ofcritical chain project management to manage new project development progress, the main taskis to the introduction of risk assessment, management mechanism, avoid any potential risksimpact to the entire project.
