As we entering the information age, it becomes increasingly important for all the projects to be processed in standardized way, especially in the field of software development. Software, the carrier of information technology, is influencing every aspect of our lives and at all levels. Software is becoming increasingly complex and powerful. In the software development process, scientific project schedule management not only can directly affect the working hours, but also can actively promote software development efficiency, including cost control, quality management and so on. The aim of this thesis is to study how to improve the efficiency of schedule management of software development project, and how to solve the existing problems.This thesis is based on the TR-069 service software development projects of X Technology Co., Ltd. Detailed analysis on the problems of schedule management in the process of software project development. We then point out that these issues could bring about serious consequences to the company. Therefore, it is necessary to highlight the importance and necessity of schedule management in a software development process. We improved the schedule of TR-069 service software development projects by Project Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) and Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM). This thesis also analyzes the improved efficiency. It is concluded that the standard project management method and modernized schedule management method can effectively improve the schedule management in the process of software development.
