Analysis Of The Technology Innovation Diffusion In Industrial Cluster Of Supply Chain

Past two decades, industrial clusters as a unique morphology played anincreasingly important role in economic development of countries. Industrialclusters continued expansion to high value-added, so the cluster develops toupgrade in the supply chain formation gradually. Technological progress is thedriving force to improve national competitiveness, and technological innovationis the source of technological progress, so the importance of technologicalinnovation gradually highlighted. We all know that the industrial cluster is ahotbed of technological innovation and technological innovation is the meanswhere industrial clusters could maintain competitive advantage, so theinteraction mechanism between them becomes the academic research focus.The study is based on the background that industrial cluster develop allover the world. First of all, combined with traditional industrial clusters andsupply chain network to put the concept of “the industrial cluster of supplychain “forward, and defined and classified its content. Secondly, from theviews of the innovative technology itself, the main agents and environment,proposed the technological innovation diffusion factors in industrial clusters.Thirdly, in the research of technology innovation diffusion in the industrialclusters of supply chain, analyzed innovation game behaviors of upstream anddownstream firms of supply chain and the core enterprises of the supply chain.Then by the theory of complex adaptive systems and its analysis tool (Swarm)to build model. Finally, simulate the model and analyzed the results.Firstly, studies show that in the industrial cluster of supply chain, thephenomenon of the technology spillovers, so if one enterprise of supply chainadopted new technology,other enterprises of the chain can get benefit fromit.We call phenomenon "free rider". Secondly, from analysis the size ofindustry cluster, we get that it is unwise to expand for improving the level oftechnological innovation.Thirdly, for the view of the government point, theGovernment’s policy to support the supply chain industry cluster is good fortechnological innovation diffusion in the beginning, but in the latter the result isnot ideal. Fourthly, to a single supply chain industry cluster, the factor of theknowledge is not the size of knowledge reserve, but knowledge reserve gapamong enterprises between. Finally, the capabilities of knowledge creation andintegration affect the technological innovation diffusion, so government shouldformulate incentive policies to improve enterprises to improve enthusiasm ofknowledge creation and integration.
