The people’s livelihood problem is related to people’s vital interests, and relatedto the degree of the development of harmonious society. With the development ofsocial economy, and the deepening of reform, the people’s livelihood problem iswidely concerned. In public management environment, in order to build aservice-oriented government, we must perfect the government audit system andimprove the government audit quality. Therefore, it is very important to research onthe people’s livelihood of audit. However, whether in theory or practice, the researchon the people’s livelihood audit in our country is still in the embryonic stage, whichlimits the development of audit the livelihood of the people in China to a large extent.In view of this, the people’s livelihood audit issue of modern public managementmode is very important.The study was based on the following aspects in this paper: first, starting fromthe relevant theory of public governance and the people’s livelihood audit, elaborateson the concept and theory of their own, on this basis, summed up the relationshipbetween the two: the theoretical basis for both the same, are entrusted with theresponsibility of economic theory and based on the public governance theory; the twoare mutual precondition and the people’s livelihood, is an important tool to realizeeffective audit is the effective public governance, public governance is the basis ofpeople’s livelihood audit play a role.
