Research On The Strategies Of China’s Overseas Oil Supply In The New International Oil Supply And Demand Pattern

In recent years, the international oil supply and demand pattern has shown a series ofprofound and significant new changes, having brought opportunities and challenges forChina’s overseas oil supply. China’s economy has been keeping sustained and rapiddevelopment, the gap between oil demand and production is growing. Faced with China’sgrowing demand for oil and the complex international oil environment, it is a challenging anddaunting task to safeguard the stability of China’s overseas oil supply in the context of thenew international oil supply and demand pattern.The artical first analyzes the new international oil supply and demand pattern from thefollowing five aspects: international oil supply and demand sector, the political situation of oilresources, the import status of oil-consuming countries, the pricing mechanism of oil market,economic and financial environment. The third chapter analyzes the status quo of China’soverseas oil supply. China’s access to overseas oil resources mainly through imports of oiland oil overseas investment. The fourth chapter demonstrates the problems and challenges ofChina’s overseas oil supply using cluster analysis, cointegration test, VARmodel. Thencombing with the above analysis, the fifth chapter put forward stratigies of China’s overseasoil supply from oil import, foreign investment, hedging strategy in oil futures market,strengthening unconventional oil and gas cooperation, and strengthening cooperation withmajor oil importers to supply some policy recommendations for our overseas oil supply.
