New products are the source force for the sustainable development ofcompanies. With the rapid development of LED technology in the recent decade,LED light,as the4th generation light products, is one of the most promisinghigh-tech industries in21century. Consumers are no more satisfied with the lightbasic service.consumers now attach great importance to the recreationalfunctions, beautiful appearance, energy saving. Consumers’ new demands guidethe modern LED market, which means the new LED products will be moreinnovative, sophisticated, integrated and distinctive.The same market and customer needs but the different technology bring themarket more competition, the customers more choices, and the service providersthe strategic goal of innovative development. Only with a spirit of innovativedevelopment, and the characteristic and differentiated new products, can thecompany play a prominent role in the fierce market competition. The experienceof successful enterprises at home and abroad has told us that an enterprise shoulddevelop a scientific, proper and efficient set of method for the project processmanagement of new product development before it manages to find the newproduct that meets the needs of their own strategic development and completes the process of new product development. Every trade and company has their owncharacteristics and traits, which cannot be blindly copied. The author sets out hisresearch against a background of the enterprises for the purpose of developing aproper set of method for the project process management of new productdevelopment.This thesis is a summary of the author’s work experience in the developmentof new products and project management. First of all, the author begins with thetheories of PMBOK(Project management body of knowledge) and combines theknowledge of project integration management and SGS(Stage-Gate system), theauthor also analyzes the present situation of new products of company. Theauthor, by applying the relevant theory, analyzes the status quo of the company,then designs a completely new project management process system of thedevelopment of new products in accordance with relevant theories combined withthe strategic needs. Finally, the author applies the new project managementprocess system in the practice of new product development, and proves thefeasibility and efficiency of the new project management process system with thecase of project management of new products preserved in the LED light of Ultradistance and precise control.
