With the improvement of information technology, electronic commerce based onInternet are developing rapidly and are becoming a major, mature business model,especially the B2C(Business to Customer) e-commerce. Electronic commerce has theadvantage of simple, fast, and low cost, while logistics is the bottleneck that is restrictingthe development of B2C e-commerce in China. For a B2C e-commerce enterprises, how todevelop a suitable logistics for their own business, is the key point of this study.Firstly, in this paper, the theory of electronic commerce and logistics are analyzed,how important and necessary it is to build a suitable logistics for the development ofe-commerce enterprises, is described, and then this paper studies the logisticscharacteristics of B2C e-commerce, as well as the general choices of logistics modes.Secondly, based on the case study of J e-commerce company’s logistics development,compare method and AHP method are used to analyze the logistics development andstrategy in different periods and different areas, in order to find the key of how to developself-conducting logistics. In the early development period, J company choose the third partylogistics because of financing cost and order scale. Later, after getting a certain order sizeand successfully obtain financing support, J company begins to construct self-conductinglogistics system gradually. After J company’s self-conducting logistics system becomesmore mature, for the sake of decreasing the logistics cost, J company begins to providelogistics service platform for other companies.Thirdly, in this paper, on the basis of comparing the development of another B2Ce-commerce enterprise logistics, the successful experiences of J e-commerce logisticsdevelopment, are summarized and some suggestions on the logistics development in thenext step are put forward.Finally, the conclusions of this article are summarizes, limitations of this study areexplained, and further study direction is indicated.
