Recently, it is necessary to use ERP in enterprises in the world, and more andmore enterprises use it to manage information which is inside and outside andbusiness information which is needed between departments. Though ERP brings agreat deal of benefit to enterprise, the rate of implementation is low. User resistancebecomes particularly significant factor in the implementation. Even though manystudies research the relationship of user resistance and its causes, only few studiesexplain that how these causes affect user resistance.User resistance occurred in the implementation of ERP is not just a resistancebehavior and it has symbolic meaning which varies in different levels of users. Thispaper concludes the symbolic meaning based on four dimensions such as economics, psychology, social and culture, finds the mechanism of user resistance which is power, responsibility and interest by dynamical mechanism. The mechanisms affect differentlevels of users and its influence is also different.Based on the mechanism of power, responsibility and interest, this paper beginswith the introduction of user resistance and its relevant knowledge, analyzes theprocess of resistance during the implementation of ERP, adopts questionnaire toobtain data, analyzes the data through comprehensive weight method, and develops asystem dynamics model observes the reaction among different users. Then throughthese actions and case studies, an ERP implementation model is supported based onhigh-middle-basic users. This paper contributes to the enterprise which can know the causes of differentlevels of users, takes actions quickly and implements the system successfully.
