Study On The Quality Improvement Of Downhole Motors In Enterprise A

Product quality is the lifeline for enterprises. Only with customer satisfactoryproducts, can an enterprise survive or develop. With the continuous development ofdrilling technology and process, the requirements for drilling tools are higher andhigher. So is the case with the downhole motors. As one of the important drilling tools,it is a must for the downhole motors to satisfy the ever growing requirements fordrilling with reliable quality and advanced technology.In this thesis, the production process of downhole motors in enterprise A isinvestigated. Analysis and researches are conducted on quality factors as keyprocesses, raw materials, technical designs, staff qualities and sales serves etc.Theories and methods of continuous quality improvement, statistical process controland design of experiments are adopted while considering problems arisen from thefield application. Methods to improve device performance, procurement control,process technology, staff quality and marketing service and other ways to improve theproduct quality were brought out and proved effective as:1. The assurance capability of the product quality is effectively improved;2. The quality of the products is greatly improved;3. Remarkable economic benefits has been achieved;4. Good social benefits is achieved.Conclusions are drawn as:1. Continuous quality improvement shall be conceived and sticked to by theenterprises. Only by improving product quality continuously, can they survive ordevelop.2. Statistical process control is an effective way to improve product quality. Ithelps to find the quality problems existing in Process of production. Product quality isguaranteed when the process is improved with effective measures.3. Design of experiments is a practical method for improving product quality anddeveloping new products.4. Staff qulity and the services they provide must be highlighted. They are key toguarantee the product quality and to improve the operation performance. The study can provide reference for the similar enterprises to improve productquality.
