Development Strategy Of Modern Logistics For Hedong District, Tianjin

With the economic developing and the society progressing, the modern logisticsindustry has begun rising in the national and regional economic development. Inrecent years, China’s logistics industry has grown very rapidly. Promoting thedevelopment of modern logistics industry has become one of the primary means forall levels of government to enhancethe regional economic growth. Hedong District islocated in the eastern downtown area of Tianjin, and with such locationadvantage, developing modern logistics industry should be a strong driving force forthe regional economic development. To study the development issues of logisticsindustry in Hedong District would be very important for it to adapt to the changingeconomic environment, play the regional specialty, adjust the existing structure of thelogistics industry with local traffic, commerce, location and other advantages, guidethe rapid development and promote the upgrading of the logistics industry, acceleratethe joint development with Binhai New Area, and realize the logistics developmentobjectives of Tianjin’s "Twelfth Five Year Plan".This paper studied the basic contents and characteristics of the logistics industryto clarify significant impact on regional economic development by the modernlogistics industry, and analyzed the environmental advantages and the main practicalproblems faced by the logistics industry in Hedong District from a practical point ofview. From the government perspective, this paper also analysed the important areasand directions of the logistics development in Hedong District for future, gave someconstructive suggestions, and proposed some corresponding support policies. In thispaper, some research methods, including literature, empirical analysis and so on, wereemployed during the writing process, to give some guidelines for the practicaldevelopment of the logistics industry in Hedong District.
