Outdoor recreational products industry is one of the categories that rapidly growingin recent years.Compared to the traditional casual and sports fashion industry, outdoorproducts more emphasis on its functionality and designing. The environment of outdooractivities requires these products must be able to adapt to the required harsh naturalenvironment and to provide more comprehensive protection of the human body. Thestructural design of such products must be constructed with well functional fabrics,technical features, and higher technological content to maintain high and stableperformance.The outdoor products include variety of categories: bags, shoes, clothing, accessories,camping equipment, travel and special outdoor sports equipment.On the other hand, the outdoor consumer has stronger brand dependence than normalApparel or household accessories.Company T is foreign-funded enterprises in the outdoor industry mainly producingdedicated outdoor accessories. Because of the rapid expansion of production and sales, thecompany’s existing purchasing process has become tedious with information redundancy,inflexible which cannot meet the actual needs of the market.This thesis is to discuss company’s purchasing and inventory control system on thecurrent situation so as to bring the company’s inventory control system more complete andreasonable. That is to reduce inventory costs, increase supply chain response. Through thestudy of the problem, other manufacturers will provide references of procurement andsupply chain problems.This paper intends to use demonstrate production and sales data to establishinventories of weighting factor, and linear programming method for an existing category,the classification matrix.According to the different categories, products will be classifiedby key indicators’ measure result. Relevant Inventory control strategies applied toeffectively match the actual market demand.Finally, order strategy will be applied according to different classification, so as toestablish a better performance inventory dynamic monitoring system.
