Research And Practice On Risk Of International EPC Project Based On AHP_FCE Model

In general, international EPC project appears high complicated and proceduralfeatures with lots of indefinable risk factors compared with other projects for its hugeinvestment, long period and high technology. Contractors can do their own initiativefree in EPC mode but they also have to face both great benefits and risks. In fact, underentirely different politics, economy, law and religion circumstance, EPC contractors willhave to face more unexpected risks, so the research of risk management in EPC modehas been hot field in engineering project management at present.This thesis introduces the background, intent and significance of the research atfirst, then describes the research state of relevant theories both domestic and abroad inrecently, at last the thesis states the contents and methods of research been used. Thethesis reviews the theories of engineering project risk management, stating the featuresand procedures of it including risk identification, risk analysis and assessment and riskresponse strategies. The thesis analyzes the common risk factors in EPC project,summarizing the risk identification methods especially for EPC project and making alist of risk affair identification about EPC project. The thesis uses AHP_FCE mode toanalyze the risk of international EPC project in order to give valued information to thedecider. We use fuzzy comprehensive evaluation mode to count the risk value and fixingthe weighted value of each risk factor by using analytic hierarchy process mode. Thethesis takes the Ball Mill project of CITIC Pacific Mining for example using AHP_FCEmode to do analysis from risk identification and assessment to risk response and gettinga good result. This thesis is combined with the actual case in our research, the results ofresearch will be useful reference for domestic contractor when they want to participatethe international EPC project market.
