Energy is an essential material resources in human survival and economic development,Energy is an important strategic materials in the national defense security, energy is dominancein the construction of modernization. The huge reserves of energy in Inner Mongolia and it’senergy consumption in coal consumption, coal consumption is the main reason to cause sootpollution, and it is also a major source of carbon dioxide emissions. If the above situation willcontinue, it will bring greater pressure to the ecological environment of Inner Mongolia.A study on the coordinated development of energy and environment system is one of thekey problems of research on the sustainable development of the current. This paper combinesthe actual situation of energy and environment development in Inner Mongolia. On the base ofanalysis the theory on energy environment and sustainable development, the energyenvironment system is divided into subsystems such as energy and environment, by using thetheory and method of system dynamics to predict energy consumption and so on in InnerMongolia.This paper analyzes the structure of energy environment system model in Inner Mongolia,to forecast and set model index, to draw a flow char of system dynamic, and to get theforecasting result of energy environment. The results show:At the beginning of “TwelfthFive Year Plan” to the end of “Five Fifteen Year Plan”, the total of energy consumption inInner Mongolia presents a linear trend of growth and its rate of growth decreased year by year;energy consumption structure is still dominated by coal, and the proportion of coalconsumption accounts for energy consumption is the highest; the proportion of oil’sconsumption accounts for energy’s consumption decreased slowly; the natural gas’sconsumption to slow down after showing growth trend and the proportion show a slow upwardtrend; energy consumption per unit of GDP decreased continuously and the average value islower than the average level in China; environmental pressure, emissions of carbon dioxideand sulfur dioxide continue to increase; the energy consumption of per capita is increasing,Inner Mongolia is still in the stage of development. Put forward the following suggestions according to the above research conclusion:Toreduce consumption of coal, thereby reducing the total of energy consumption; to reduce theproportion of the second industry,thereby reducing coal’consumption in second industry; toincrease the investment of wind power, nuclear power and other energy to generate electricity;pay attention to development and utilization of wind energy, nuclear energy and otherrenewable energy; to increase investment, to increase the exploration’ efforts of oil and naturalnatural gas; the development of energy and environment in the overall planning, thereby topromote sustainable development of energy and environment in Inner Mongolia.
