Research On The Relationship Between China’s Foreign Trade Structure And Industrial Structure

Over the years, the foreign trade structure and industrial structure are the two hotspots in research of economic problems. In the background of economic globalization and China’s economic structure strategic adjustment, study the problem of the relationship between China’s foreign trade structure and industrial structure has an important theoretical value. In this paper, use China’s foreign trade structure and industrial structure as the research object, using semi-log model and structure effect model to empirically analysis the relationship of them, to provide a new perspective to study the issue of foreign trade structure and industrial structure.This paper takes 1990-2013’s data of China’s foreign trade and industrial structure as samples, through the empirical analysis found that China’s foreign trade structure and industrial structure is difficult to form the benign interaction, what’s more, the foreign trade structure has the impact of the change of industrial structure exist longer lag period. And then, we will analysis the reasons of relationship between the two are difficult to form a good interactive. The main reason that causes this kind of situation is due to China’s inside and outside structure imbalance, the second is "export-oriented" type development strategy and the "processing trade" are long-term existence, the third is the distortion of the industrial structure policy, long-term heavy industry priority development policy do not consistent with China’s foreign trade policy, the fourth is a structural imbalance in the field of foreign direct investment inflows makes it hard for the technology spillover effects play an effective role. Therefore, we will hold good for the basic principle of the two’s benign interaction to form the benign interaction between China’s foreign trade structure and industrial structure. We also should adjust and perfect our country’s foreign trade policy and industrial policy, at the same time, we should expand domestic demand, and then, to guide the structure of the foreign direct investment rationalization, so as to realize the sustainable development of our country’s economy.
