Impact Of Farmers’ Behavior On Land Use Efficiency During The Process Of Farmland Conversion

It is an effective way for rural land orderly circulation to realize agricultural production specialization,product commercial development, sales systematic in China. There are many problems in the process of agricultural land circulation in Shenbei New District, which has restricted paces of agricultural modernization. Therefore, differences are analyzed behavior and mode of land use about different types of farmers from micro perspective of peasant household, to optimize rationally of land elements and improve land production efficiency, to reach a goal of agricultural modernization.The paper described 5-town farmers’ basic information, agricultural land management, agricultural land circulation and transfer willingness based on the investigation in Shenbei New District in 2014. Test relationship between different types of farmers’ behavior and efficiency of land use through combination data envelopment analysis(DEA) model and SPSS. Contents mainly included:The second chapter introduced characteristics of study area, data sources and basic characteristics of farmers and agricultural land circulation situation. In general, pure household population and labor proportion were higher than concurrent business of farmers. But pure farmer average educational level and family income was lower than concurrent business farmers. Rent and subcontract were main way of agricultural land circulation; large family and village outsiders were main transfer object; circulation period generally was 2-5 years; circulation scale was less than 5 acres.The third chapter in main body thesis summarized differences among different types of farmers’ land use behavior. Pure farmers’ investments in land were more than part-time farmers. In addition, pure farmers were willing to grow crop and species of food crops, choices of planting structures and multiple cropping index were lower than part-time farmers.The fourth chapter used data envelopment analysis(DEA) model and SPSS method. DEA model was used to analyze efficiency of land use in different types of households. Pure farmer were much more than part-time farmers in comprehensiveefficiency point. Using SPSS analyzed farmers’ behavior having an influence on land use efficiency. As a result, agricultural land fragmentation degree and level of agricultural land circulation significantly affected the efficiency of land use.Finally, put forward to concrete measures to promote farmland circulation and improve the efficiency of land use base on above search,(1) cultivation of new farmers, improve rural social security system;(2) cultivation of rural land transfer market, promote agricultural scale operation;(3) cultivation of agricultural management of large households, to speed up pace of professional cooperative;(4) improve the efficiency of farmland use, reach agricultural sustainable development.
