On the basis of index analysis system and reference data calculated, it also conducts a specific evaluation on the comprehensive transport system of Chongqing and finds the current problems Chongqing is facing. Then on the basis of study of future economic development strategy in Chongqing, it is essential to ensure the integrated transportation development strategies of Chongqing in the future: international exchanges and logistics portal of the western area, national comprehensive transportation junction, traffic organization center of urban agglomerations of Chengdu-Chongqing, Guizhou and Yunnan and the chief area of urban and rural development together. This paper make it clear that in Chongqing the railways and waterways dominate in long distance freight, railways and aviation dominate in long distance passenger transport; road transportation dominate in the close cities of passenger transport and freight.
