Influence Of Supply Chain Collaboration On Supply Chain Performance In Equipment Manufacturing Enterprises

As global competition intensifies, pure competition among enterprises has been transformed into the complex competition within different supply chains. Therefore, more and more enterprises start to pay more attention to their supply chain collaboration and management gradually. Supply chain collaboration has become an inevitable trend, especially in manufacturing enterprises. Through effective collaboration among partners, supply chain collaboration could respond quickly to deal with the changes in the market, so as to maximize the performance of the entire supply chain. Therefore, it appeared particularly important to research systematically and comprehensively on supply chain collaboration. However, at present, the study on supply chain coordination mainly concentrated in the coordination mechanism and affecting factors of collaboration, but the research on the relationship between supply chain collaboration and perfo rmance of the supply chain is still not specific and detailed enough. In this paper, by researching on the relationship between supply chain collaboration and performance, we discuss some key ways to enhance supply chain performance, which makes our research of great theoretical and practical significance.This research chose the supply chain of the equipment manufacturing enterprise as a research object, using multi-case research and empirical study together to research in depth the effect of supply chain collaboration on supply chain performance. Firstly, we reviewed the relevant literatures about supply chain collaboration and supply chain performance to analyze the deficiency of existing research, which lay the theoretical foundation for the study. Then, we investigated preliminarily the relationship between strategic collaboration, business collaboration and supply chain performance respectively by means of multi- case study, and proposed initial research proposition. Afterwards, on the basis of theoretical research, we established a conceptual model, proposed several hypotheses, and made data analysis by SPSS 21.0, it came to a proposition about the relationship of supply chain collaboration and supply chain performance, which therefore provided the basis and condition for improving supply chain performance from the perspective of collaboration. At last, by analyzing the supply chain performance of Geely and its shortcomings of the supply chain collaboration, we proposed some tactics to improve its supply chain performance from strategic collaboration and business collaboration.Through thoroughly multi-case studies and empirical research, we can obtain two main conclusions as follows: Strategic collaboration and business collaboration respectively have positive influence on supply chain performance; Strategic collaboration and business collaboration have an interaction impact on supply chain performance improving. The research enriches the theory of supply chain coordination management, and provides new research idea and method for optimizing supply chain coordination mechanism and improving supply chain performance. At the same time, in practice, it could also help the equipment manufacturing enterprises coordinate and cooperate in a better way, so as to enhance their supply chain performance.
