In recent years, the strong market demand of civil aviation and the intense competition between various airlines are increasingly apparent. In order to meet the demand of the new market and increase profits in the intense competition, most airlines are taking measures such as opening new routes, introducing new aircraft, increasing the amount of flights and expanding fleet size. However, with the implementation of these measures, a new problem of crew scheduling has emerged. The way of crew scheduling by handwork, originally in the form of pencil and rubber appears more and more inefficient, and it is not easy to control the flight as well, which affected the flight safety.Therefore, with the high development of today’s information technologies, more and more airlines focus on the technologies of crew scheduling by computer, in order to ensure the safety and the efficiency when increasing their profits. Because of the earlier use and achievements of these technologies in foreign countries than that in China, the purchase of the technologies from abroad has been the choice of some domestic airlines. However, the aviation market operating environment between different countries has many differences, which leads to the conflict when introducing these technologies.In this case, we first described the problem when crew management module was introduced into airline A; secondly, we want to provide management advice for those enterprises which are in the period of changing. We hope that these enterprises will always follow the values and management concept of humanistic. In order to establish a good relationship between the enterprises and the employees, and prevent the employees’ from generating anger during the change, we strongly advise that enterprises should improve their management system, working process and technologies, and strengthen the communication between the members of the enterprise. Through these humanized management measures, enterprises should form human-oriented corporate culture and values. In this process, Manager Wang from crew management department of airline A used the theories such as psychological contract, humanistic management, fairness theory, Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, double factor theory to manage the pilots with a humanized method by improving the crew scheduling system, working process and the technologies, which made the pilots win a fair income and sufficient time to rest. The pilots reduced their counterproductive work behaviors. At the same time, the psychological contract coordination degree between the pilots and the crew management department achieved a good result. The case reveals that when in the change period of introducing new technologies, enterprises should realize that the essence of management is the management of people, not the technologies. And enterprises should prevent the employees’ from generating anger by following the human-based management and improving the system, working process and technologies of the enterprises, establishing good a good relationship between enterprises and employees, and constructing an enterprise culture of humanism.
