As the booming development of Chinese economy, the construction industry has become one of the leading power of the growing of our economy. Like most of the fast developing country, China is in desperate need of labor. And the migrant worker is in great help at this issue. Up to the year 2011 the construction business migrant worker provide 84% of it’s labor force. But the management of the migrant worker has becoming an annoy problem for the construction company. Inefficiency, non-professional and instability are most concerned by the manager of the construction business.Unlike other migrant workers, construction project migrant worker are quite different. Due to the specificity of construction project, the migrant worker have to working and living as a group. So finding out "what’s going on" within the group is the basic need to solve the problem. This paper is trying to find the connection between migrant worker’s power within the overall network and their working condition. In order to achieve that goal, this paper interviewed 7 migrant workers and 6 labor contractors. After the interview we questionnaire surveyed 16 migrant worker’s group. We collected 14 overall network data of the labor groups and some basic information of these workers which mainly about their working situations such as age; hometown; attitude; efficiency; mobility etc.Then by using Ucinet6.0 we valued the power of every migrant worker in their own labor group. And the power represented by their point centrality; betweenness centrality and closeness centrality.By empirical analysis which include correlation analysis and nonparametric analysis, we found that migrant worker’s age and their power in the overall network was negatively correlated, meanwhile efficiency and power was positively correlated. On the other hand, different kinds of person leads to different kinds of power. Small leader of the labor group and informal organization leader have a stronger point centrality and betweenness centrality. A worker with a good working attitude and better work skills turn to have a stronger point centrality; betweenness centrality and closeness centrality. Workers shared a fellow relationship with their labor contractors seems to have a stronger point centrality and closeness centrality. The worker who worked in a same team for continuously two years has more friend then the others.
