Measurement And Empirical Analysis Of City Centrality

With the rapid development of urbanization and urban agglomeration in China,the development of central cities has attracted more and more attention.In order to promote regional development and strengthen regional economic strength,many regions have proposed to build their own central cities.In the four-level construction system of China's central cities,which is composed of National Central cities,regional central cities,regional central cities and city-county central cities,each level of central city embodies its own district.The important role of the domain.More and more attention has been paid to the construction of central cities,but in the process of construction,although the local government actively responds to the national policy and strongly emphasizes the construction and development of central cities,there are still some problems in the specific construction.The theoretical understanding is insufficient.The selection of central cities depends on policy guidance,and the construction of central cities blindly follows the trend.Blindly pursue the quantity from reality.Therefore,the study of the center is worthy of further in-depth study.Through the study of the measurement of the center,it can provide theoretical support and policy recommendations for the establishment of the center city and the future development of the city.This paper explores the centrality measure from two perspectives and makes an empirical analysis:one is the centrality intensity,the other is the network centrality.After discussing the theoretical foundation of city centrality,centrality intensity and network centrality,this paper establishes the evaluation index system of city centrality,and holds that the index of city centrality intensity should cover all aspects of economy,finance,innovation,social service,information communication,culture,tourism,medical treatment and foreign trade.Therefore,this paper rebuilds the index system.Four first-class indicators,10 second-class indicators and 38 third-class indicators were established to discuss the impact of the city on the city center.After the index is established,the centrality of the main cities in the whole northeast region is quantitatively analyzed,and the centrality strength of the northeast region is measured by the principal component analysis method.According to the contribution rate of the four principal components and the load matrix table of the principal component,the indexes of the city centrality and the weight of the five dimensions are calculated,and the centrality strength of the northeast region is obtained.The status quo of the cities in the following areas:Big cities are big,small cities are small,the central radiation of big cities is not strong enough;there is no prominent central city under the central intensity index;Dalian,Changchun,Shenyang Harbin as a first-class city separated development;the development of the whole northeast region of the city presents a "zone one vertical" Zonal development mode,Harbin,Changchun-Shenyang-Dalian is the main urban development belt.Combining with the social network analysis method,by analyzing and measuring the connection degree,node centrality and network density of cities in Northeast China,we can get the centrality of urban network.The network centrality of Shenyang is distinct,which has a stronger radiation effect on the regional economy.With Shenyang,Dalian and Harbin as the main urban nodes,the urban density is higher and the priority is higher.The dynamic trend of the "iron triangle" multi-center urban agglomeration composed of Shenyang,Dalian and Harbin has begun to take shape.By comparing the two measurement methods,we find that:centrality intensity and network centrality are two aspects of a centrality concept to measure urban centrality,and there is no difference between the advantages and disadvantages.When a central city of a region needs to be established,it can be determined according to the urban development planning of the region and the actual situation of the city.Activity selection measure method.If the region emphasizes the hierarchy of the central city and hopes to expand its hinterland of influence in space,it can measure and guide the city according to the centrality intensity;if the region emphasizes the urban network,it hopes that the central city can promote the development of the surrounding cities through close network links with the surrounding cities,it can be based on the network.The nature of the city is measured and guided.This article is divided into 5 chapters.The first part is introduction.Through the research background,this paper puts forward the significance,literature review,research purposes and research ideas of this paper,thus introducing the definition of the following central concept and the development of the central measure.The second part is urban centrality and its related theories.Firstly,this paper discusses the theoretical basis of this paper,then expounds the evolution of urban centrality theory,points out the importance of centrality measurement in current centrality research,and defines the concepts of centrality,centrality intensity and network centrality.In the third part,the methods and applications of urban centrality measurement are introduced in detail,and the evaluation system construction of the two methods is discussed.The measurement methods are discussed through model analysis.Finally,the similarities and differences between the two methods and their application conditions are pointed out.The fourth part is the comparative analysis of city centrality:Taking Northeast China as an example.Take Northeast China as an example to conduct an empirical analysis of the two methods,and make further comparative study based on the results.The fifth part,countermeasures and suggestions.Based on the previous theoretical discussion,qualitative analysis and quantitative evaluation,this paper gives some suggestions on the establishment of the central city in Northeast China,and puts forward relevant optimization measures for the follow-up development of the central city.Combined with the results of the central measurement in Northeast China,some suggestions are given for the establishment of the central cities in other regions.Finally,the paper summarizes the research content,points out the deficiencies of this topic,and prospects the future research.
