Food safety relates to everyone’s daily life. It concerns people’s health, life and social stability. In recent years, food safety problem happens a lot in China. The government has issued a series of laws and regulations to supervise these problems, but it was not very effective. It shows that food safety management systems in China needs to be accomplished. Food safety association plays a important role in food safety overhaul. Comparing to government, food safety association has its own duty:information acquisition, cost and impetus supervision. These roles can make up for those that the government supervising department can’t do during food safety management.In order to respond to the "8837" development strategy of Inner Mongolia, Inner Mongolia Food Safety Association(IMFSA) to participated in a series of food safety management and supervision. As the IMFSA is still in its development stages, the limitation of participating in management restrict the consequences. So it is important to learn advanced experience and improve participating ability during food safety management.This thesis consist of five parts:the first part introduces relevant concepts of food safety management association and overhaul, and analyze the advantage of association in managing food safety. The second part contains the status quo of IMFSA, how they take part in food safety management and what IMFSA accomplished for now. It’s the overall summery of IMFSA participating in food safety management. The third part finds out problems that IMFSA participating in food safety management according to cases that several associations took part in the management. Then do some research about the reasons. The fourth part sums up experiences that internal and external associations had during food safety management. The last part aiming at problems during management, puts forward suggestions of improving the IMFSA participating in food safety management.
