Analysis Of Technical Efficiency Of The SME Board Listed Companies In Jiangsu Province

Jiangsu Province has great strength in economy, which has a close relationship with the booming development and contribution of the SMEs. According to the statistics, the quantity of the SMEs in Jiangsu Province has been over 1.38 million, which has contributed over 50% of the taxes,58% of the GDP,66% of the jobs,80% of the new products of the province. But at the same time, it should not be ignored that high input with low output, high energy consummation with low efficiency have become a serious problem of the SMEs, and even effecting the quality of the economic and sustainable development of the Jiangsu Province. The SME board listed companies are representatives of many SMEs in Jiangsu Province, thus a study on these companies about the technological efficiency, analyzing the influencing factors and seeking resolutions should have important significance on the good and fast development of the SMEs and on the realization of the Goal of Two "Keeping Ahead".On the basis of reviewing the literature and research findings about technological efficiency at home and abroad, this paper build relative models about technological efficiency, choose corresponding input and output index, and use DEAP 2.1 software to calculate the technological efficiency of the 71 SMEs in Jiangsu which bored in Shenzhen late in 2010. The final conclusion are as follows:the overall technological efficiency level of the SMEs in Jiangsu is mediocre, while the technological efficiency level of the computer services industry, commercial broke and agents industry and drinks manufacturing industry are relatively higher, the transportation assistant industry, plastic manufacturing industry, non metallic mineral products industry are relatively low. Based on these, this paper analysis the influencing factors of the technological efficiency of the SMEs in Jiangsu on the aspects of the structure of property rights, company management level, capital structure, R&D investment, labor structure and market structure. At last, this paper gives the suggestions:expand the scale of the enterprise to achieve economies of scale; optimize the enterprise management mechanism, to enhance the competitiveness; improve the ability of capital operation for further development; enhance R&D input to promote technical content; optimize the structure of the staff and update the talent incentive mechanism.
