The Research On The New-type Urbanization Development Problems Based On The Slow City Theory

Urbanization is the sign of economy development level and modern civilization of a country. It’s an objective requirement. In this new period expanding the needs, making sure of the sustained development of economy and finding the way to clear obstacle of traditional mode are the strategies of urbanization.The government points out that the significant points to promote the New-typeurbanizationare new ideas and core consideration of people. People oriented idea is the mark of modern urbanization and it remandusto think of the slow city development model to solve the problems during the city’s development of western country. This article is in view of the current situation of urbanization in China and the problems existing in traditional urban construction. We can learn from other countries that take specific measures through combing the European concept of slow city, grasping its essence. We should also line the philosophy of slow city with our national condition and enrich the connotation of the new theory of urbanization. The method of urban construction in our country is special and it’s ecological, harmonious and humanistic to solve the problems existing in industry, traffic and housing. This is an effective method which is based on the concept of slow city urbanization to protect the living environment and improve resident’s well-being. There is important enlightenment function for urban construction in the future to put the philosophy concept of slow city into the new strategy of urbanization.In this paper,after analysis of urbanization development of China,achievements and problems and the background of the new theory of urbanization are listed.By comparing several international urban development concept, as well as slow city philosophy practices in solving the development problem of their own different countries in the world,it indicates that slow city theory has the superiority whichother urban development theories do not have.Slow city theory with humanistic ideology as the core, pays attention to the context inheritance and urban character protection, and supports an approximate inverse “globalization” way of sustainable development.From the connotation of the concept of slow city characteristics andthe situation of our country, it analyzes the correspondency of the New-type urbanization theory and slow city philosophy, and suggests toselectively use theexcellent and suitable parts of slow city conceptintothe construction of the experimental unitsinmodern urbanizationon the basis of a slow city concept, to provide some enlightenment to a new town development mode in China. In the end of the paper, itcites specific examples to illustrateslow city systemof new towns based on the theory of slow city in ecological, industrial and residential building.
