New industries represented by “Internet +” is imposing a shock on the traditional businesses of commercial banks. With such a background, the work performance of banking clerks is unstable. The stability of the relationship between staff performance and organizational performance is related to the country ’ s economic conditions. This research applies Questionnaire on Professional Values, Questionnaire on Organizational Commitment and Work Performance, to investigate the professional values, organizational commitment and work performance of 504 employees of Changsha Commercial Bank based on the principle of convenience sample, aiming to know the influencing mechanism and interactions among the three. Therefore, the paper can find the specific ways to improve staff performance and provide empirical principles. This study reaches the following conclusions:1. Banking staff takes the following three values as the most important values: international skills, intelligence stimulus and sense of accomplishment. The least important are variability, comfort and beauty. Demographic variables including whether the only child or not, years of position and the nature of the bank, are quite varied in the some dimensions of employees’ professional values. other demographic variable difference was not significant;2. The average organizational commitment of banking employees are above the average level, with obvious disparities of organizational commitment. For employees in the banks with different nature, their commitments are clearly different. other demographic variable difference was not significant;3. The work performance of banking staff stays above the average. Employees from banks in different nature of banks, there are great differences in their work performance.other demographic variable difference was not significant;4. Some degree of positive correlation appears among professional values, organizational commitment and work performance of staff of commercial banks in Hunan Province.5. Professional values has a positive prediction on the organizational commitment and work performance and organizational commitment also has a positive prediction on work performance.6. Professional values impose direct influence on the work performance of commercial banks’ staff and have an indirect impact on work performance through organizational commitment, which functions as a mediator. The mediating effect accounts for 25.1% and 23.4% of the total effect.The research results are as follows:Banking staff have diversified values. Professional values, organizational commitment and work performances have a correlation between each other. Employees ’ professional values directly affect the work performance and has an indirect influence through organizational commitment,the mediate variable.
