The traditional B2C Electronic Commerce System typically uses the pricing method of fixed price, but it is difficult to achieve price negotiations in the traditional trading activities. However, if customers were allowed to bargain in B2C Electronic Commerce System, it would definitely require significant investment of labor costs, while also influencing images of brand and product. If using auction in some commodity transactions allows customers to offer during electronic auction and achieves negotiation on price, which can improve the transaction rate and enormously save the costs of labor.In this study it focuses on the application of auction mechanism in electronic commerce, based on the B/S structure and the MVC framework, the PHP programming language and MySQL database are applied, via the theory of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) and EAV model, to implement a B2C electronic auction system with the functions of user registration, commodity browse, commodity auction, user management, commodity management, order management, etc.The system uses the commodity management based EAV model, which supports the business to freely customize commodity attributes and categories, to achieve the diversification of commodity information and thus to highlight the selling points of commodity. Furthermore, the system also achieves flexibility of commodity information, which means the business can add new attributes for the existing product category at any time without affecting the existing products of this category. The B2C electronic auction system is able to provide a convenient and efficient editing method of commodity and reduce the maintenance costs of commodity information for the business.In terms of the regulations of traditional auction activities, this system has designed and implemented a variety of forms of electronic auction which including English Auction, Dutch Auction, and fixed price accepting offer, to solve the difficult problem of realizing price negotiation during electronic commerce, to provide various schemes of publishing merchandise for the business and to offer a richer shopping experience for the bidders.In this study, the designed and implemented electronic auction system has achieved a wealth of dynamic commodity information and improved the time and spatial flexibility of auction activities, which allows bidders to participate in the auction anywhere at any time, offers several auction options for the business, hence it contributes to the smooth progress of auction activities.
