China is the hometown of tea, the tea resource in China is excellent, tea production types of China are also complete, which has six tea type such as green tea and black tea. Chinese tea planting range is very widely, and the tea planting of Chinese tea covers 26 provinces. Meanwhile, China is also a big export country of tea, and the tea has been one of the China traditional exports of agricultural products for a long time, which plays a positive role in the aspect of foreign exchange. The export trade scale of Chinese tea has been rapidly developing since China joined the WTO. In the year of 2009, the Chinese tea export volume exceeded 300000 tons mark for the first time, and then reached the second position in the world in the next year. However, Chinese tea exports began to hang back since then, and what’s more, the export of tea even faced negative growth in some years. At the same time, the share of Chinese tea on the world tea imports declined rapidly. Now, Chinese tea export situation is not optimistic, many problems such as the export market is too concentrated in the African market while the development on emerging market is not enough also need to be improved.Under such a background, this paper thus use the methods of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis to study on Chinese tea export trade structure. Firstly, this study use the dispersion index, Laurence index, matching index and income structure index to analyze and evaluate the Chinese tea export structure. The research results show that:Chinese tea exports are mainly concentrated in the green tea products, and the phenomenon of concentration becomes more and more obvious, the commodity structure of export do not match the world demand very well; Chinese tea products export is too concentrated in the African market, and does not match the current world tea import market structure well; the tea export structure has been changing in recent years, and there are also some signs of optimization, but the trend is not obvious. Then this paper uses CMS model to estimate the effect of the export structure of tea on the tea export, the results show that, the market structure of Chinese tea export has significant protection against Chinese tea export growth.
