Enterprises can survive only when they can withstand fierce market competition under current market competition environment. For this reason, enterprises shall integrate internal and external resources at its inception, make scientific evaluation and optimization on all strategic business units, and pursue profit maximization, so that enterprises can realize persistent development and gain the best economic benefits. Proposal and advocacy of strategic business unit(SBU) have great effects on integration of internal and external resources, because SBU provides scientific means and ways for enterprise’s evaluation on business departments, which can optimize enterprise’s resource allocation, strengthen enterprise’s competitiveness, and realize better economic benefits. Therefore, researches on evaluation and optimization of SBU not only are theoretical researches but also have practical significances on linking theory with practice.360 Company, this paper’s research object, is a listed company in internet security industry. Internet industry is rapid in change and large in market potentials and has many chances, but it is fierce in market competition and has certain internet bubbles. With development and expansion, 360 Company ahs built several strategic business units. Therefore, evaluating and optimizing such strategic business units and promoting competitiveness are keys to enterprise success.This paper first begins with an introduction to research background, research significance, and research status of the theory of SBUs(strategic business units) at home and abroad, andresearch methodsin the study. The second chapter mainly defines the basic definition and characteristics ofcorporate SBUs, introduces Boston matrix analysis and evaluation model, GE matrix evaluation model, the theoriesof corporate core competitiveness and optimal allocation of resources, whichlays a good foundation for the later discussion.The third chapter introduces the industry background and development status of Qihoo360, and conducts a SWOT analysis on its SBUs. Then, targeted at the characteristics of Internet industryand combined with Qihoo360’s specific circumstances, it choosesthe SBU evaluation model--- GE matrix analysis model, a modelsuitable for SBU evaluation of Qihoo360, and describes the steps of GE matrix analysis.Based on Delphi and AHP, the fourth chapter invites expert group to selectthe indicators of market attractiveness and business competitiveness involved in SUB evaluation, and grade the indicators in line with the standard of Richter five-grade scoring. Through the analysis of specific data of Qihoo360’s SBUs, GE matrix analysis chart is formed. Then it further conducts an analysis and evaluation on various strategic business units according to GE matrix, and puts forward the suggestions on the optimization of Qihoo360’s SBUs.
